When an athlete receives a blow to the head or may have suffered a concussion, coaches and athletic trainers must make subjective, error-prone decisions in the blink of an eye to determine whether they are safe to return to play. Besides the general responsiveness and awareness of the athlete, they have nothing to base their decisions off of.
Intellig-EYES™ is a tool for concussion detection that is more sensitive and less biased than any human evaluator. It can objectively quantify and document the overall performance of the brain in a patient with an acute and/or chronic brain injury. It is a NONINVASIVE and automated test that approximately takes 30 seconds to administer. The test does not require significant medical skill to administer due to device automation, detection algorithms, ease of use and minimal interaction with patient.
